CALGARY, AB — After taking the first two games of the series, things started to get out of control for the Peterborough Lakers.

The Six Nations Chiefs tied the series at two, winning games three and four, and kept the streak going as they took game five 11-6.

All momentum seemed to be on the Chiefs side.

However, the Lakers weren’t ready to let go of their season just yet. They came out strong in game six at the Peterborough Memorial Centre and gave Six Nations all they had.

Behind a five-goal night from Curtis Dickson, the Lakers were able to edge the Chiefs 13-10 and force a game seven.

Shawn Evans was spectacular as well for Peterborough as he assisted on five goals.

For Six Nations, Jeff Shattler ended a two-game pointless streak by netting one goal and assisting on another two.

Game seven will take place on Monday, August 31st at 6:00pm MT at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.

Whichever team should win the final contest will head to British Columbia to face the Victoria Shamrocks in the Mann Cup.

Watch game seven LIVE with a PPV broadcast by JVI Sports Network.
