SASKATOON, SK – Zack Greer scored a franchise-record seven goals to help the Saskatchewan Rush (3-1) speed by the Calgary Roughnecks (2-3) with a 19-12 home win, tying the Rush’s single-game team record for goals, in front of 9,580 fans at SaskTel Centre on Friday night.

En route to a career night with nine points (7+2), Greer scored five consecutive goals in a 2:47 span, the most by an NLL player in at least a decade, to help turn an early second quarter 8-5 lead into an eventual 14-6 halftime advantage.

The Rush fell behind 3-1 a little over five minutes into the first quarter, but scored five-straight markers to end the first 15 minutes of play, up 6-3. Calgary used a three-goal third-quarter run to pull within six goals, but wouldn’t get any closer as Saskatchewan answered with a trio of goals of its own to start the fourth quarter.

Saskatchewan also got eight points from both Robert Church (3+5) and Mark Matthews (2+6) along with six points (3+3) from Ben McIntosh while Aaron Bold made 34 saves on 46 shots. Calgary was led by Curtis Dickson’s seven points (4+3), six points from Dane Dobbie (3+3) and Wes Berg (2+4) and five points (2+3) from Jeff Shattler as Mike Poulin and Frankie Scigliano combined for 39 saves on 57 shots.

The Roughnecks return home to host the Georgia Swarm at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET while the Rush return to action in Week 7 by visiting the Colorado Mammoth on Thursday, Feb. 11.
