THE OTHER BENCH: STEALTH
A quick scouting report on the Roughnecks next opponent.

There is very little that either the Calgary Roughnecks and the Washington Stealth can do to surprise each other.

The history between the two teams run deep, with both coaches owning an in-depth scouting report on each other.

“We’re looking at the Stealth and they’ve got a very, very strong team,” said Roughnecks head coach Curt Malawsky. “This is a massive game. Last time we were down there, they put it to us. The score was flattering in my mind. They beat us in all aspects of the game. We’ve got our work cut out for us. We’ve done a lot of preparation over the week and we’re hoping to give them a better show down there (than) last time.”

On the other bench, Stealth head coach Chris Hall says similar things about the Roughnecks.

“They’ve got a phenomenal offence and very tough to handle,” Hall said. “Obviously the focus is to try to win to clinch a playoff spot. We know Calgary is a tough, hot team. We’ve got lots to prepare for.”

THREE PLAYERS TO WATCH

1. Rhys Duch ~ The sharpshooter always seem to find a way to get the ball in the net. This year, he’s fourth in the league in scoring with 69 points, including a 10-point effort against the Roughnecks earlier this year.

2. Athan Iannucci ~ In his first full season with the Stealth, the NLL record holder for most goals in a year has put up solid numbers of 21 goals and 24 assists, good enough for third on the team.

3. Lewis Ratcliff ~ The former Roughnecks star is enduring a tough season but has still managed to score 22 goals and 25 assists for the Stealth.
