Calgary, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks today announced that the National Lacrosse League club has re-signed forward Scott Ranger to a one-year contract, pending league approval.

“We are very pleased to add Scott to our roster,” said Roughnecks General Manager, Alternate Governor and Director, Business Operations Mike Board. “He brings leadership and experience to the dressing room and is an offensive threat on the floor.”

Ranger, a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, finished the 2013 regular season in the top-5 in team scoring with 20 goals and 33 assists for 53 points over 16 games played. The 30-year-old forward has appeared in 109 games over the past seven seasons with Calgary, recording 167 goals and 219 assists for 386 points (fourth among all franchise players) along with collecting 330 loose balls over that span. Ranger spent two seasons with the San Jose Stealth before joining the Roughnecks as a free agent in August 2006.
