Calgary, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks are proud to announce the return of the Jr NLL Roughnecks program for 2023!

Three youth teams will be selected to participate in the 9th Annual Jr NLL Tournament! The Jr Roughnecks will be competing in the U13, U15, and U17 divisions at the 9th Annual Jr NLL Tournament hosted at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario, from August 18 to 20, 2023.

The Jr NLL Roughnecks program is one of the premier lacrosse experiences in the country and provides one of the only opportunities for non-professional athletes to play the game of lacrosse using NLL rules. In addition, the Jr Roughnecks program is operated as a true player development program with the Jr NLL tournament representing the final experience in the athletes development journey within the Jr Roughnecks Program.

Registration for tryouts for the respective team’s is now open but will close on May 1, 2023, with tryout camps running between May 26 and June 4, 2023 (final tryout schedule TBD). Tryouts includes a minimum of four (4) on-floor sessions, a Jr Roughnecks pinnie, a Jr Roughnecks dry-fit shirt, and one (1) game voucher for the Calgary Roughnecks 2023 – 2024 Home Opener. All players must pre-register online and pay a non-refundable fee of $120.
