The Roughnecks set a franchise high in wins in their final regular season game of the year.

Calgary beat Panther City 13-12 to move to 13-5 on the season.

The Riggers opened the scoring on Friday night as Tanner Cook picked up goal 31 on the season.

Panther City would respond with two in a row to make the score 2-1 with five-minutes left in the first.

Zach Herreweyers drew into the Riggers lineup and tied the game at two after stealing the ball from the PCLC goaltender.

Panther City would add two more before Dan Taylor dunked with 3.9 seconds remaining to make the score 4-3 PCLC heading into the second frame.

Panther City added to their lead to being the quarter to make the score 5-3.

Zach Currier answered in transition with his 18 goal of the season to make it 5-4.

PCLC hit back with two more to go up 7-4 with over half the quarter to play.

Taylor got his second of the night to get the Riggers back within two, 7-5.

The Riggers could not turn it into a run however, as PCLC scored again to make it 8-5. That was the score heading into the half.

The second-half started with some fireworks as Tanner Cook dropped the mitts for a spirited tilt.

Haiden Dickson seemed to catch some momentum from the scrap as he scored shortly after the make the score 8-6.

Jesse King answered a PCLC goal later in the quarter to making it 9-7.

Jeff Cornwall scored in transition to get the Riggers within one. Christian Del Bianco continued to add to his career high in assists with his 19 on the goal.

PCLC would restore their two-goal lead on the powerplay to make the score 10-8 just over halfway through the third-quarter.

King got the Riggers back to a one goal deficit with his second of the night to making it 10-9 heading into the final frame.

King finished off the hat-trick early in the final frame to make the score 10-10.

An unlikely source gave the Riggers their first lead of night as Curtis Manning scored goal number three of the season to make it 11-10.

Panther City answered back to tie the game at 11 with just over four minutes gone in the fourth.

Cook got his second of the night to put the Roughnecks back out in front, 12-11.

Then, Dickson scored his second to extend the lead to 13-11. King had an assist on the goal to get him to 100 points on the season.

Panther City got back within one with 1:28 to go to make the score 13-12.

PCLC had a penalty shot with 22.2 seconds left in the game but, Del Bianco made a huge save and sealed up the win, 13-12.
