SETTIN’ IT UP

The Riggers head on the road for their fourth eastern road game of the season.

The Roughnecks are looking to climb above .500 once again as they are in Ottawa to battle the Black Bears for the first time tomorrow at 5 p.m. MT.

You can catch the game on TSN during NLL Friday Night.

The Riggers (3-3) fell 14-9 to Toronto at home last weekend. Jesse King and Curtis Dickson had six points each, while Mathieu Gautier picked up his first hat-trick as a Roughneck in the loss.

Ottawa (4-3) dropped an 8-4 decision to Vancouver last weekend after beating the same Warriors team 9-8 the weekend before.

Dickson could hit two major milestones on Friday night. He is four goals shy of Dan Dawson for sixth all-time and needs one assist for 500 in his NLL career.

Dane Dobbie would move into ninth all-time in points, ahead of Gary Gait, if he can get seven on Friday.

This is the only matchup of the season between the Riggers and Ottawa. The Roughnecks played the New York Riptide (who moved to Ottawa in the offseason) once last year, falling 11-10. Jesse King had three goals and three assists in the loss.

Players To Watch

Roughnecks: D Eli Salama: The Riggers assistant captain has scooped up 47 loose balls already this season including seven last week and is on pace to shatter his single-season high of 116 he set back in 2023.

Black Bears: G Zach Higgins: The Black Bears goaltender has the second-best goals-against average and best save percentage among NLL starters heading into Week 10.
