SETTIN’ IT UP

Looking for lucky number seven.

The Roughnecks look to tie a franchise record for road wins in a season (seven) on Friday night in Las Vegas against the Desert Dogs on TSN+ at 8:30 p.m. MST.

The Riggers (8-8) can clinch a playoff spot on Friday night with a win and a San Diego loss to Albany. Any other outcome and they will have to wait until Saturday to get into the postseason. Calgary picked up a big 10-6 victory against Saskatchewan a couple of weeks ago to put their playoff fate firmly in their own hands.

Las Vegas (4-13) enters the final week of the regular season having lost four of their last five games in what has been a difficult season that sees them in last in the NLL.

Nick Rose needs 22 saves to hit 7,223, which would vault him into second all-time ahead of Anthony Cosmo.

Curtis Dickson and Jesse King are closing in on 100-point seasons. Dickson needs two more to hit the mark for the fourth time in his career, while King needs seven points for his third-career 100-point season.

This is the second and final regular-season matchup between these two teams. The Riggers dominated in a 21-8 victory at the Rough House on Feb. 16. It was Tyler Pace leading the way that night with 11 points, while King and Dane Dobbie had 10 each.

 Players To Watch

Roughnecks: F Brayden Mayea: The Riggers rookie has 28 points in nine games this season and seemingly gets better each time he is in the lineup.

Desert Dogs: F Jack Hannah: Hannah leads the Desert Dogs in goals with 36 and has been a bright spot for the group this season.
