The National Lacrosse League announced today that Calgary Roughnecks forward Joe Resetarits has been named to the 2013 NLL All-Rookie Team.
Resetarits finished his inaugural season sixth among NLL rookies in both goals (8) and scoring with 24 points (8 goals, 16 assists) over 14 regular season games played. The Hamburg, NY native recorded three points, including two goals, in two games this post-season. Calgary selected Resetarits in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft.
Joining Resetarits on the All-Rookie Team are forwards Curtis Knight (Edmonton), Mark Matthews (Edmonton) and Shayne Jackson (Minnesota) and transition players Dhane Smith (Buffalo), Joey Cupido (Colorado) and Kiel Matisz (Minnesota).
The 2013 NLL Season Awards are determined by a vote of the league’s Board of Governors, General Managers and Head Coaches. Due to a tie in the voting, the All-Rookie Team was expanded to seven players this year.
