Congrats, gents, on a historic victory!
The Calgary Raiders became the first Alberta team to win the Minto Cup national junior A lacrosse championship with a storybook finish to the tournament they hosted this year at Max Bell Centre.
The tournament brought together four of the country’s top Junior A teams for seven days of competition, culminating with the Raiders defeating the Victoria Shamrocks in Game 3 of the championship series, a 9-6 thriller Sunday night to hoist the Minto Cup and add their name to the championship’s long and rich history.
Following the conclusion of the tournament, the 2026 Minto Cup All-Star Team was also announced, recognizing the standout performances from players throughout the week.
