CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks today announced the National Lacrosse League club has re-signed forward Curtis Dickson to a three-year contract.

Dickson, who recently completed his fifth NLL season, has spent his entire playing career with the Roughnecks. The Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, native finished second in team scoring last season, recording career highs in loose balls (58), goals (48), assists (45) and points (93). Over 84 regular season games, the 27-year-old forward has amassed 335 points (198 goals, 137 assists) while collecting 226 loose balls. Named the NLL Rookie of the Year in 2011, Calgary selected Dickson in the first round, third overall, in the 2010 NLL Draft.

“Curtis is one of the most athletic offensive players in the league,” said Roughnecks general manager Mike Board. “He is a proven goal-scorer with an impressive outside shot and the ability to take the ball to the net. He has been, and will continue to be, a big part of the Roughnecks offence.”

Dickson capped off the 2015 season with a trip to the Mann Cup final with the MSL’s Peterborough Lakers and earned a gold medal with Team Canada at the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship.

This evening, Dickson and Calgary’s 28-player roster will continue with the second of four weekend training camp sessions when the Roughnecks scrimmage against the Colorado Mammoth at the Langley Events Centre’s Fieldhouse. Camp concludes with a pre-season matchup against the Vancouver Stealth on Sunday, Dec. 20. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
