Season with the Drill Crew: 2nd season
Occupation: Dance teacher and full-time Kinesiology student at the University of Calgary
Hometown: Calgary, Alberta
What is your dance/performance background? I grew up competitively dancing at Boundless Dance Studio here in Calgary and then was lucky enough to move to Vancouver after graduation to pursue dance. In Vancouver, I was a part of Harbour Dance Centres ITP program, Britt Good’s BeGood program and took class from so many inspiring and knowledgeable choreographers. Now I have transitioned into a dance teacher role, and I love being able to educate the younger generations while also getting to perform with my Drill Crew team.
What is your favourite part about being on the Drill Crew Dance Team? My favourite part is being surrounded by an amazing group of women. From practices to game days and everything in between, the girls on this team are truly some of the best to be around.
What song gets you pumped up on game days? Anything Tate McRae! But more recently her new hit “TIT FOR TAT”.
What is your favourite style of dance? Jazz or Jazz funk.
What’s one thing you cannot live without? My laptop! With school assignments and music editing for my students you can always find me working on something.
What’s your favorite local charity or non-profit organization? The Alberta Cancer Foundation
What are your proudest accomplishments? Graduating from the ITP program at Harbour Dance Centre, getting accepted to the University of Calgary and getting to watch my students perform after a season of hard work!
