November 7
Roughnecks sign Pace to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Tyler Pace to a one-year contract, pending league approval. Pace (6-foot, 190 lbs., 04/05/1995) returns to the team for his eighth season in a Riggers jersey. The reliable Coquitlam product provides an offensive boost anytime he is on the floor, in 14 games played last season he posted 57 points (16G, 41A). With his dynamic ability on offence, power-play contributions and leadership in the locker room, Pace’s return provides the Roughnecks with a dependable weapon for the upcoming season.
November 4
Roughnecks sign Walsh to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed goaltender Aden Walsh to a one-year deal. Walsh (6-foot-4, 180 lbs., 01/17/2001) was acquired in an off-season trade with the Vancouver Warriors. The big tendy was drafted in the second round (25th overall) by the Georgia Swarm in the 2021 NLL Draft. Aden had a career best season last year, suiting up in 18 games with the Warriors while boasting a 78.8 SV% and a 9.89 GAA. The Oakville, Ontario product will suit up for his first season with the Roughnecks.
Roughnecks sign Salama to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Eli Salama to a one-year contract, pending league approval. Salama, (6-foot-2, 205 lbs., 08/24/96) since being selected 12th overall in the 2018 NLL Draft, has steadily emerged as a cornerstone defending force for the Roughnecks. In 18 games played last season the righty d-man had seven points (7A) to go along with 128 loose balls, 11 caused turnovers and a team leading 17 blocked shots.
Roughnecks sign Mayea to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Brayden Mayea to a one-year deal. Mayea (5-foot-9, 185 lbs.,) was our draft pick in the first round (5th overall) of the 2024 NLL Draft. Following a successful rookie campaign where the Ontario native posted 32 points (12G, 20A) in 11 games played, he’s back for his second season in a Riggers jersey.
Roughnecks sign Foster to 3-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Ben Foster to a three-year contract. Foster (6-foot-one, 185 lbs., 03/15/2000) a local Calgary product, was drafted in the sixth round (77th overall) in the 2024 NLL Draft.
October 31
Roughnecks sign Laity to 2-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Brayden Laity to a two-year contract. Laity (6-foot-3, 200 lbs., 10/09/03) was acquired in a trade with the Vancouver Warriors last season. The lengthy defenceman played in 17 games total last year posting seven points (1G 7A), with five games being played for the Roughnecks (1A, 34 loose balls).
Roughnecks sign McIntyre to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Brett McIntyre to a one-year deal. McIntyre (5-foot-9, 170 lbs., 4/8/1997) was picked in the second round (22nd overall) by the Colorado Mammoth in the 2020 NLL Draft. The Calgary product played in three games for the Riggers last season, putting up six points (1G, 5A) in a Roughnecks jersey. He’s back with his hometown team for his second season.
Roughnecks sign Morgan to 3-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Justin Morgan to a three-year contract. Morgan (6-foot-4, 205 lbs., 1/5/2000) was drafted in the sixth round (85th overall) by Panther City, but was later picked up by the Riggers in the Panther City dispersal draft. The local product is coming home to suit up for the Roughnecks.
October 29
Roughnecks sign two players to 3-year deals
The Roughnecks have signed forward Jack Royer and defenceman Hudson Chivers to three-year deals. Royer (5-foot-9, 165 lbs., 02/05/03) was our selection in the fourth round (49th overall) and Chivers (6-foot-4, 207 lbs., 01/25/03) went in the fifth round (70th overall) of the 2025 NLL Draft. Royer and Chivers are both Alberta products and will be making their Riggers debuts at Calgary’s 2025 NLL Training Camp.
Roughnecks sign three players to 1-year deals
The Roughnecks have signed forward Haiden Dickson, defenceman Matt Sykes and transition Harrison Matsuoka to one-year deals, pending league approval. Dickson (6-foot-2, 195 lbs., 10/5/2000) is returning for his sixth season with the ‘Necks, keeping a proven finisher in Calgary’s attack for the upcoming season. He enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign, finishing with 37 points (20G, 17A) in 15 games, and will return looking to build on that production. Matsuoka, (6-foot, 180 lbs., 08/20/1998) the hometown kid, is back for his fifth season with the Riggers. The reliable transition defender collected four points (4A), 68 loose balls and nine caused turnovers in 18 games played last season. Sykes (6-foot-3, 220 lbs., 07/17/1999) was acquired via trade last season with the San Diego Seals. The defender was drafted in the second round (25th overall) to the Seals in the 2019 NLL Draft. The big man is known for the physicality and size he brings to the back end. In seven games played with Calgary, Matt posted one goal and will look to build in his second season with the team.
Roughnecks sign Smith to 2-year contract
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Bennett Smith to a two-year contract, pending league approval. Smith (6-foot, 207 lbs., 5/5/2001) is back for his third season with the Riggers after the lefty d-man put up 11 points (6G, 5A) in 15 games played last season. Bennett’s transition play and physicality will be welcomed on the back end, the Edmonton product led the team with 17 caused turnovers last year. Smith was selected as our draft pick in the first round (11th overall) of the 2023 NLL Entry Draft.
October 28
Roughnecks sign two players to 1-year deals
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Justin Inacio and goaltender Colby Bowman to one-year deals. Inacio (5-foot-9, 185 lbs., 11/6/1998) is back for his third season with the club. Last season the face-off specialist posted a personal best with 297 face-off wins to bolster a 60.4% win rate at the dot. In 18 games played, Inacio had three points (2G, 1A). Bowman (6-foot, 215 lbs., 5/28/2002) was our pick in the third round (33rd overall) of the 2024 NLL Entry Draft. The Nanaimo, BC product suited up in six games last season with a 85.2 SV% and a 5.58 GAA.
Roughnecks sign two players to 2-year deals
The Roughnecks have signed forward Riley Isaacs and defenceman Caelan Mander to two-year agreements. Isaacs, a Calgary native (6-foot-2, 210 lbs., 9/20/2002) was our pick in the sixth round (93rd overall) of the 2023 NLL Entry Draft. The local product put up a goal in four games played last season for the Riggers and looks forward to suiting up for his second year with the team. Mander (6-foot-5, 210 lbs., 12/14/2004) was drafted in the second round (36th overall) in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft by the Halifax Thunderbirds and was traded to the Riggers for Thomas Hoggarth. The big lefty defenceman had one assist in four games played last season and will look to build on that in his second season with the Roughnecks.
Roughnecks sign six players to 3-year contracts
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Carter Cook, Aiden Hindson, Jordy Neary and Matthew Colebrook, forward Lukas Olsson, and goaltender Thomas Wood to three-year contracts. Cook (4th round, 54th overall), Hindson (5th round, 62nd overall), Neary (5th round, 69th overall) were all members of the 2024 NLL Entry Draft. While Olsson (4th round, 56th overall), Colebrook (6th round, 76th overall) and Wood (6th round, 84th overall) were all part of the 2025 NLL Entry Draft.
October 27
Roughnecks sign Vincent to 3-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Jordan Vincent to a three-year deal. Vincent (6-foot-one, 200 lbs., 1/24/2004) was selected in the second round (29th overall) in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft. The Comcox, BC native wore a letter for the Jr Timbermen during the summer and posted 10 points (7G, 3A) in 15 games played. Jordan is known for his aggressive defensive play and ability to carry the ball in transition.
Roughnecks sign McCulley to 3-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Davis McCulley to a three-year agreement. McCulley (6-foot-one, 200 lbs., 3/19/2002) was selected in the sixth round (74th overall) in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft by the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. Davis played his junior lacrosse with the Victoria Shamrocks and later at Belmont Abbey College. The BC product is known for his physical presence and defensive reliability.
Roughnecks sign LeClair to 2-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed defenceman Liam Leclair to a two-year deal. Leclair, (6-foot-4, 206-lbs., 3/30/1998) a defender from Windsor, Ontario, brings size, physicality and NLL experience to Calgary’s back end. Leclair missed the 2025 season while on the Physically Unable to Perform List, but is now on the Active Roster for the 2025-26 season. Liam has played four season’s with the Roughnecks from 2020-2024, most recently playing 18 games and posting six points (2G, 4A) to go along with 58 loose balls and 21 caused turnovers.
October 24
Roughnecks sign Loewen to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed veteran forward Riley Loewen to a one-year deal, pending league approval. Loewen (6-foot-2, 200 lbs., 9/26/1989) previously suited up for the ‘Necks from 2017–2019, playing a key role in the team’s 2019 NLL Cup Championship run. The savvy vet played 16 games with the Vancouver Warriors last season and put up 41 points (19G, 22A). The Burnaby, B.C. product is known for his smart, gritty play style and consistent offensive presence, bringing veteran leadership and championship experience back to Calgary’s left side.
Roughnecks sign Moyer to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Carson Moyer to a one-year deal. Moyer (6-foot-1, 185 lbs., 4/23/2001) was selected in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft by the Albany FireWolves. Moyer played four games in the 2025 season with Albany posting six points (2G, 4A). The left-handed forward will play out his second NLL season with the Riggers.
Roughecks sign two players to 3-year contracts
The Roughnecks signed forwards Noah Manning and Kyle Pepper to three-year contracts. Manning was selected in the first round (9th overall) and Pepper a few picks later (13th overall) in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft. Manning is an offensive standout, who played WLA senior A summer ball with the Nanaimo Timberman this year and is a graduate of the University of Denver, where he played NCAA field lacrosse. Pepper is a Swiss Army knife who can play both defence and offence and can take faceoffs as needed, suiting up last summer with the WLA’s Victoria Shamrocks after an NCAA career at St. Bonaventure.
