VS TORONTO: Tonight marks the first of two regular season match-ups between Calgary and Toronto. Last season, the Roughnecks were 0-2 against the Rock. Former Roughneck Shawn Evans led Calgary with 16 points (5g, 11a) in the two-game series against Toronto. Brett Hickey (6g, 6a) and Josh Sanderson (3g, 9a) topped the Rock with 12 points each in the series against Calgary. The two teams will next meet on Saturday, Apr. 30 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

NAIL BITERS: Six of Calgary’s 10 games played have been decided by one goal with the Roughnecks winning two and losing four one-goal decisions. In two-goal games, Calgary is 1-1.

GOING THE DISTANCE: Calgary’s last three contests have gone into extra time, matching a single-season league record for most consecutive overtime games. The last team to record three-straight overtime contests was Washington in 2011. The single-season NLL record for most overtime games is five, twice set by Arizona (2005) and Washington (2011). The most OT contests the Roughnecks have played in a single season is four, first set in 2004 then duplicated in 2015.

CLUB 3,000: On Mar. 5, goaltender Mike Poulin eclipsed 3,000 career saves. He now has 3,032 saves over his 10-year NLL career and is Calgary’s all-time saves leader (2,769). Originally selected by the Buffalo Bandits in the second round, 21st overall, in the 2005 NLL Draft, he began his career in Toronto in 2007. He spent two seasons with the Rock before joining Boston then Calgary. In 2012, Poulin was named the NLL Goaltender of the Year.

ROAD WARRIORS: Calgary’s road power play ranks first in the NLL at 63.6%. The Roughnecks are tied with Buffalo for the second-most goals scored while on the man-advantage in enemy barns at 14. Georgia tops the league with the most power play goals netted on the road at 17.

TOP 10: Curtis Dickson’s team-leading 29 goals rank third among all players and his 52 points sit tied for seventh. Of his 29 goals, eight have come on the power play (tied for fourth among all players) while his three shorthanded markers are tied for the league lead. Greg Harnett’s two game-winning goals lead all defencemen and rank tied for third among all players. Karsen Leung has a team-leading 16 caused turnovers, tied for sixth in the NLL. Dan MacRae is tied for fifth among the league’s defenders with nine points (3g, 6a) on the season. Mike Poulin sits second among all goaltenders with a 10.35 goals-against average while fellow netminder Frankie Scigliano’s 12.58 goals-against average is ninth.
