SETTIN’ IT UP

Looking for more road magic.

The Roughnecks aim to get back to .500 on Friday night when they travel to Saskatoon to take on the Saskatchewan Rush at 7 p.m. on TSN.

The Riggers (7-8) have dropped two straight and sit just outside the playoff picture in ninth place entering Week 19. A win this week mixed with some help around the league would put them right back in the thick of things in the playoffs. Calgary is sporting a 5-2 road record this season.

Saskatchewan (11-4) enters the week tied for first in the NLL with the Buffalo Bandits. They picked up a 17-12 win against Colorado last week after dropping a 17-9 decision to the Thunderbirds the week before.

Tanner Cook steps into Week 19 six points shy of a career high. He has 60 this season and will look to break the mark of 65 he set last campaign.

Curtis Dickson is seven points away from his fourth career 100-point season, and sits in eighth in the league in points with 93.

This is the second and final regular-season matchup between these two prairie rivals. The Rush grabbed a 16-13 victory back on Feb. 14 in Calgary. Curtis Dickson led the way for the Riggers in that one with two goals and five assists.
