SETTIN’ IT UP

Riggers look to fly their way to victory.

The Roughnecks are looking to end a three-game slide when they host the Albany FireWolves for the Marvel Super Hero Party celebrating girls in the game Friday at 7 p.m. TICKETS.

The Riggers (5-8) are a few teams back of a playoff spot as they enter Week 17, but one win can change the standings entirely as just two points separates seventh from 12th in the NLL.

The FireWolves (10-4) are third in the NLL but are coming off an 11-10 loss to Rochester last weekend.

Jeff Cornwall needs seven loose balls to hit 700 in his career, while Jesse King needs nine points for 450, and Tanner Cook will play in his 50th career game.

This is the first ever matchup between the Roughnecks and an Albany lacrosse team, Calgary never having played the Attack (2000-2003) or the FireWolves prior.

Players To Watch

Roughnecks: G Christian Del Bianco: Del Bianco had his biggest game of the season last week in the Riggers 7-6 loss to San Diego. He made 54 saves on 61 shots in the defeat and is once again at or near the top in every goalie category in the league.

FireWolves: G Doug Jamieson: Jamieson is having one of his best seasons in the NLL racking up 10 wins and similar numbers to CDB. He has also added a goal this season.
