Riggers look to ride the Tide.

The Roughnecks are back at home for the Every Child Matters Game against the New York Riptide on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 7 p.m. TICKETS

It’s the first of back-to-back home games this weekend as they will host the Toronto Rock on Saturday for Superhero Night. TICKETS

After a stop-and-start first third of the season the Roughnecks now start a stretch of nine games in the next eight weeks.

Calgary (2-3) fell to Colorado 13-10 last time out and will look to get back .500 once again on Friday.

For the Riptide (3-4), they have won three of their last four games and will also look to get to even ground.

The Roughnecks had back-to-back home games just last season and managed to come away with two wins over the Saskatchewan Rush and Colorado Mammoth.

This is the only regular-season matchup between these two teams this season. The last time they went head-to-head was Feb. 8, 2020, a game the Riggers won 13-9 at home.

 

Players To Watch

 Roughnecks: Shane Simpson D: Simpson has seven goals in transition which is tops in the NLL. He will look to get the Rough House on its feet on Friday.

Riptide: Jeff Teat F: Teat is one of the top players in the NLL. He sits third in the league in points with 44 in seven games (22g, 22a).
