The Roughnecks look to build off an OT win over Albany two weekends ago when they face the Saskatchewan Rush Friday at 7 p.m. from the Scotiabank Saddledome. TICKETS.
The Riggers (6-8) could find themselves back in a playoff spot with two wins over their prairie rival this weekend. Last time out they took down the FireWolves 10-9 in overtime at the Rough House.
The Rush (6-8) find themselves in the exact same position as the Roughnecks as the end of the season draws near. They beat the wings 16-12 last weekend.
There are plenty of milestones to lookout for this weekend. Jesse King needs four points to reach 450 in his career while Tyler Pace is just six points from 300.
This is the first of two-straight matchups between the Riggers and Rush. The Roughnecks have beaten their rivals six-straight times over the last two seasons as they head into this weekend’s clash.
Players To Watch
Roughnecks: F Tanner Cook : Cook got the overtime winner the last time the Roughnecks were on the floor. He cleared 50 points that night for the second-straight season.
Rush: F Robert Church: Church shows no signs of slowing down. He has 82 points this season and is on pace for his second-consecutive, and third-overall, 100 point season.
