The Riggers couldn’t quite find their footing on Saturday night as they were defeated by the Bandits 14-7 in Buffalo.

Calgary is now 7-10 while Buffalo moves to 10-7.

Buffalo scored the opening goal of the game shorthanded as Christian Del Bianco was beat with a bouncer to make it 1-0.

Both teams traded powerplays throughout the first-quarter but neither goalie was beaten again until Buffalo got a powerplay goal with under three-minutes to go in the quarter to make it 2-0.

The Bandits added two more before the end of the quarter to make it 4-0 heading into the second.

Buffalo added to their lead to make it 5-0.

Tyler Pace finally ended the opening run on the powerplay behind the back to make the score 5-1.

The Bandits retaliated with two and then Tanner Cook found the net from in tight to make it 7-2.

Buffalo answered again right off the faceoff to make it 8-2.

The Bandits would add one more to make it 9-2 heading into the half.

It was Buffalo scoring first in the second half making it 10-2.

Haiden Dickson found the back of the net after another Bandits goal to make it 11-3 just under halfway through the third-quarter.

The Riggers struck again as Dan Taylor went short-side to make it 11-4 with 3:30 to go in the quarter.

Tyler Pace extended the ‘Necks run to three with a far side rip to make it 11-5 heading into the final frame.

It was Buffalo striking first in the fourth quarter to end the run and make it 12-5.

Jesse King ripped his first of the night on the powerplay to get the Riggers back within six, 12-6.

Josh Currier scored a beauty jump shot to make it 13-7 but then Buffalo answered to make it 14-7 after five.

14-7 was the final score as the Roughnecks playoff hopes took a big hit.

UP NEXT

The Riggers will have a must win game Saturday April 20 against Panther City and some help around the league as well heading into the final week of the regular season.
