The Roughnecks couldn’t battle back after a slow start on Saturday, falling 15-10 to the Rochester Knighthawks.

It was the Knighthawks who struck first with a high shot late in the shot-clock to make the score 1-0.

The next goal didn’t come until there was 7:16 left in the quarter as Rochester found the net again to make it 2-0.

After another goal by the visitors, Haiden Dickson found the net from in tight to make the score 3-1.

Curtis Dickson bounced one five-hole with 1:33 to go in the first-quarter to make the score 3-2.

Rochester found the net one more time as the game headed into the second-quarter 4-2.

The Knighthawks struck twice quickly in the second on the short-side to put them up 6-2.

It was Rochester again with a behind-the-back shot to make it 7-2.

Curtis Dickson ended the Knighthawks run with his second of the night to make it 7-3.

The Knighthawks struck on their first powerplay of the night to answer back and make it 8-3.

 

Dane Dobbie fired home his 30th of the season on the powerplay to make it 8-4.

Haiden Dickson found his second of the night to make it 8-5 but Rochester would quickly answer putting the score at 9-5.

Rochester found the net on a set play out of a timeout to send the score to the half 10-5.

The Knighthawks struck first in the second-half to make it 11-5.

Brayden Mayea scored his first of the night making the score 11-6.

Curtis Dickson found the short-side for his hat-trick goal putting his season total at 30 to tie Dobbie for the league-lead. The score was 11-7.

The Knighthawks answered once again putting them back up by five, 12-7.

Curtis Dickson wired home his fourth of the night to send the score 12-8 into the fourth-quarter.

Rochester found the net once again to go up five less than a minute into the fourth.

After the Knighthawks scored again, Jesse King found the back of the net on the powerplay to make it 14-9 with just under seven-minutes to play.

Rochester would add one more before Tanner Cook found the back of the net late to make the final 15-10.
