In a night filled with posts and penalties the Roughnecks fell to the Riptide 11-10.
The Roughnecks fall to 2-4 while New York gets to 4-4 on the season.
The Riptide opened the scoring early as Jeff Teat picked continued his scoring ways to make it 1-0.
Josh Currier was the first to strike for Calgary evening the game up 1-1 with just under three-minutes gone.
It wasn’t until 5:30 was left in the first quarter that New York re-took the lead 2-1 on a transition chance.
New York scored on the powerplay with under two-minutes to go to make it 3-1 late in the quarter.
The Riggers brought it to within one before the quarter wrapped up as Currier went far side for his second of the night to make it 3-2.

New York got on the board first in the second-quarter but Riggers Captain Jesse King quickly responded ripping one five-hole to make the score 4-3.
The Riptide went up two with a bouncer five-hole to make it 5-3.
Christian Del Bianco found Shane Simpson in transition on the powerplay with under four-minutes to go in the half to make it 5-4. It is the fourth time those two have connected for a goal this season.

The Riggers evened the score 5-5 shortly after as Zach Currier found Jeff Cornwall on a two-on-one and Cornwall did the rest.
Tanner Cook fired one low to give the Riggers their first lead 6-5. That was the score heading into the half.
New York scored first for the third straight quarter to even the score 6-6.
The Riptide committed an illegal substitution penalty on a Harrison Matsuoka breakaway resulting in a Roughnecks penalty shot. King made no mistake on the shot waiting out the Riptide goaltender and shooting across his body to make the score 7-6 Riggers.

The Riptide got the game even once again as the two teams continued to go back-and-forth.
The ‘Necks went up again on the powerplay as Tyler Pace snapped one far side to make the score 8-7.
It didn’t take long for the game to be tied again as a Riptide player was found all alone on the top of the crease and found the back of the net to make it 8-8.
New York took the lead early in a powerplay with exactly two-minutes to go in the third-quarter. The score was 9-8.
The Riptide got another powerplay goal with 28.3 seconds to go in the quarter to make it 10-8.
Haiden Dickson found the back of the net for the first time in the game to start the final frame making it 10-9 on the powerplay.
The special-teams battle continued as New York countered with a powerplay goal of their own, but King found the back of the net again off the faceoff to make the score 11-10 Riptide.
Del Bianco made three big saves on another Roughneck penalty kill to keep the game within one heading into the final five-minutes.
The Roughnecks got a powerplay late but couldn’t find the back of the net losing 11-10.
