CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks today announced the team’s 20-player active roster and practice roster for the 2017 National Lacrosse League season.

The active roster includes 17 returning players and three new faces in forwards Holden Cattoni, selected fifth overall in the 2016 NLL Draft, and Riley Loewen, acquired from the Saskatchewan Rush, along with defenceman Chad Cummings, drafted 36th overall in 2012. Cummings was on the club’s holdout list while finishing his collegiate hockey career as a member of the Golden Eagles at The College at Brockport.

Forwards (7): Wesley Berg, Holden Cattoni, Curtis Dickson, Tyler Digby, Dane Dobbie, Riley Loewen, Jeff Shattler
Defencemen (11): Tyson Bell, Tyler Burton, Mike Carnegie, Scott Carnegie, Chad Cummings, Greg Harnett, Jon Harnett, Kellen LeClair, Karsen Leung, Dan MacRae, Curtis Manning
Goaltenders (2): Christian Del Bianco, Frank Scigliano Named to the practice roster, pending league approval, are defencemen Garrett McIntosh, Keegan Rittinger and Bob Snider. Defender Vaughn Harris remains on the physically unable to perform list.

Calgary will open the 2017 NLL campaign at home against the Vancouver Stealth on Friday, Jan. 6 at 7:00 p.m., at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Roughnecks tailgate party returns for all home games, giving fans the opportunity to Come for the Party & Stay for the Game as Dutton’s Lounge and the Chrysler Club open two hours before faceoff and remain open following the game.
