CALGARY, AB — Win, lose, or draw — or all three.

Goaltender Frankie Scigliano managed to collect all three outcomes last week in Western Lacrosse Association action.

To begin his week, Scigliano and the Maple Ridge Burrards battled the New Westminster Salmonbellies. Even extra time could not find a winner and the two teams tied 12-12, as Scigliano stopped 45 of 57 shots on net in just under 70 minutes.

A couple days later, the Burrards were in Coquitlam to take on the Adanacs. The big man was fantastic on this night, making 30 saves on 36 shots in leading Maple Ridge to a 9-6 win.

A day later they were faced with the tough challenge of facing the Victoria Shamrocks. The Burrards held a slim 7-6 lead after the third quarter, but a six goal third was all the Shamrocks would need as they beat Maple Ridge 12-10.

Despite being saddled with his first loss of the season, Scigliano was very good between the pipes. The ‘Rocks put a barrage of shots on net and Frankie was able to stop 41 of them.

Lefty forward Brandon Goodwin had a excellent week for the Salmonbellies.

In the Bellies 7-6 win against the Burnaby Lakers, Goodwin registered three shots on net. A few days later against Maple Ridge, Goodwin had a goal and three assists in a tie.

It was also a good week for Roughnecks in Victoria.

Jeff Shattler had two goals and two assists, Greg Harnett had a goal and an assist, and Tyler Burton recorded an assist in the Shamrocks dominant 13-3 win over the Langley Thunder.

In the final game of the week, Victoria faced the top ranked Maple Ridge. The Shamrocks were able to give the Burrards their first loss of the season. Burton was the top-scoring Roughneck with one goal and one assist. Jon Harnett also added an assist in the win.
