CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks Lacrosse Club today unveiled a limited edition Star Wars-themed jersey featuring Darth Vader, the Death Star, TIE fighters and the Imperial Star Destroyer. The black nebula-patternedjersey will make its one and only appearance of the 2016 National Lacrosse League season this Saturday, April 9, when the Vancouver Stealth visit the Scotiabank Saddledome for Star Wars Night, benefitting STARS Air Ambulance, with a 7:00 p.m. faceoff.

The one-of-a-kind jerseys are now up for bid at ElevateAuctions.com/StarWarsJersey, with all funds raised directed to STARS to support its commitment to providing a safe, rapid, highly specialized emergency medical transport system for the critically ill and injured. The online auction will close at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25.

Saturday’s game will also honour The Force, our hometown heroes, by recognizing first responders along with Canadian Armed Forces, Alberta Sheriffs, Alberta Correctional Services, Alberta Health Services and Calgary 911.

In appreciation of first responders, a personal contribution from Roughnecks defenceman and firefighter Scott Carnegie to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society is being matched by the Calgary Roughnecks Foundation to see a total donation of $1,900.

Fans attending Star Wars Night are encouraged to arrive in costume as prizes will be presented throughout the West Division match-up.

Single game tickets are available at Ticketmaster locations and the Scotiabank Saddledome box office for as low as $38 for adults and $21 for children (plus applicable fees).
