Official Contest Rules and Regulations
This Contest is sponsored by Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation (the “Contest Organizer”) and, if applicable the Prize Supplier CSEC.
Contest starts at 12:00 PM MT December 22, 2025 (the “Contest Starting Date”) and ends at 12:00 PM MT on April 17, 2026 (the “Contest Closing Date”) and the time period between the Contest Starting Date and the Contest Closing Date is the “Contest Period”.
By entering this Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. The decisions of the Contest Organizer with respect to all aspects of the Contest are final.
- ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside. Employees, agents and representatives (and persons with whom they are domiciled and their immediate family members) of the Contest Organizer, its subsidiaries, affiliates and its sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies, are not eligible to enter this Contest. For purposes of these Official Contest Rules, an “immediate family member” is defined as a parent, sibling, child or a spouse. Compliance with all terms and conditions and correct method of entry qualify you as an “Eligible Participant” in the Contest.
- HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
To enter you must repost the dedicated image from the Calgary Roughnecks X page. Entry forms must include your name, full home address, email address and daytime/evening telephone number where you may be reached. Limit of one (1) entry per person per household during the Contest Period, regardless of the method of entry.
Should the Contest require submission of art, writing or any other creative work, by entering the Contest, each Eligible Participant agrees that their entry complies with the Content Restrictions, as defined below, and that Contest Organizer may choose to disqualify an Eligible Participant from the Contest if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the entry fails to comply with the following restrictions (collectively, the “Content Restrictions”):
Posts, written submissions, essays, pictures and/or videos (each, a “Creative Work”) must not be illegal, defamatory, hateful or in any way obscene, or disparage Contest Organizer or any other person or party and must be a work of original creation and effort by the Eligible Participant acting alone;
The Submission (including any Creative Work) must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations of any jurisdiction where they are created, or that violates or infringes any third-party rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other intellectual property rights; and
The Submission (including any Creative Work) must not be inconsistent with the image and values of Contest Organizer or contrary to the purpose of the Contest.
- ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. All entries must be received by the Contest Closing Date in order to qualify. The Contest Organizer will not be responsible for late, delayed, misdirected, lost, or incomplete entries. By entering the Contest, Eligible Participants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and accept the decisions of the Contest Organizer as final and binding in all respects. Entries that are incomplete, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Official Contest Rules shall be disqualified.
- PRIZING
All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable and are not convertible to cash. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes, or any component thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value.
- a) GRAND PRIZE
There is one (1) grand prize available to be won consisting of:
A pair of tickets to the next Calgary Roughnecks home game and a pair of Apple AirPods
Approximate retail value: $250
All costs not specifically included in this prize description including, but not limited to, applicable taxes, will be the responsibility of the winner.
If the winner cannot use or chooses not to use, for any reason, any portion of the grand prize, that portion of the prize will be forfeited and no substitution or other compensation will be awarded.
Prize is valid only from December 22, 2025 to April 18, 2026 and must be redeemed within these dates.
- SELECTING WINNERS
GRAND PRIZE DRAW AND SECONDARY PRIZE DRAW
A random draw for the grand prize, and any secondary prizing, if applicable will be conducted at or about three (3) days prior to the next Calgary Roughnecks home game in Calgary, Alberta from all eligible entries received; or if the Contest involves submission of entries that will be judged, the judging will be concluded at this same time by a judge or panel of judges selected by the Contest Organizer.
The Contest Organizer shall use commercially reasonable efforts to contact the selected entrants using the contact information set out each of their entries. In the event, that a selected entrant cannot be contacted within 24 Hours days of the random draw, the entry of such selected entrant shall be deemed void and the Contest Organizer shall draw another entry at random for the remaining eligible entries. The process noted above will be repeated until a contact is made with a selected Eligible Participant or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.
Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question within two (2) business days of prize notification.
Each selected entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with these Official Contest Rules, acceptance of the respective prize as awarded without substitution, and releasing the Contest Organizer, its affiliated and related companies, sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with the prizes, including (if applicable) attendance at events or travel to the prize destination and any recreational activities undertaken as a result of participation in this Contest.
If the Grand Prize or any secondary prizing includes travel then the winner (and guest if applicable) must have valid documents for travel. The Prize will be forfeited if: (a) the proper travel documents are unattainable for any reason within the time frame required by the Contest Organizer; (b) winner is unable or unwilling to travel on dates available; (c) the winner does not have the right, at the time of being selected in the draw or at the time of the trip, to re-enter Canada after leaving the country; or (d) if any immigration complications arise which prevent a winner and/or guest from entering the selected country. In the event of (d) the winner or guest, as case may be, will be solely responsible for arranging and paying for travel back to the point of origin. Any Prize forfeited may, at the Contest Organizer’s option, be awarded to an alternate Eligible Participant.
Declining a prize, failing to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, failing to return the Release Form within the time period indicated on the Release Form or otherwise failing to comply with these Official Contest Rules will cause the respective prize to be forfeited and a new random draw from the remaining eligible entries will be conducted to select another selected entrant. The process noted above will be repeated until a prize winner is declared or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.
- GENERAL
This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations and void where prohibited. The Contest Organizer shall not be held responsible for any accident, negligence, printing, typographical, administrative or other errors that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest with no obligation or liability, subject to applicable law. The Eligible Participant agrees that this Contest will be conducted in the English language only.
No correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. By entering this Contest and accepting a prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, city of residence, video image, voice, and/or photograph in any related publicity or Internet posting without further notification or compensation.
By entering this Contest and accepting a prize, if applicable, each entrant releases and agrees to hold the Contest Organizer, any prize supplier and any applicable related professional sports league (such as the National Hockey League, Canadian Football League, Western Hockey League, National Lacrosse League, American Hockey League, etc.) and its respective members, shareholders, directors, employees, officers and agents, including, without limitation, their advertising and promotion agencies, harmless against any and all manner of actions, causes of action, suits, debts, covenants, contracts, claims, and demands, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract, fundamental breach, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrant or his/her administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might have or could have, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in this Contest and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or use by the entrant of the prize awarded, if applicable.
All entries become the property of the Contest Organizer and will not be returned. No responsibility will be taken for any failure of the Contest website during the promotion or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, on-line, or internet entry to be received by the Contest Organizer on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
The Contest Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, without notice, for any reason whatsoever, including, the internet portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Organizer corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest, or the odds of winning. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Contest Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of his or her entries) who tampers with the Contest, including the entry process.
In the event the Contest allows entries via a social media entry mechanism, including but not limited Facebook, Twitter, Google or a Google affiliate including Google +, YouTube or Instagram, entrants must log into the applicable third party social media service or site (each such service or site, a “Third Party Service”) during the Contest Period and follow instructions provided by the Contest Organizer on how to enter. To enter the Contest by means of a Third Party Service, you must have a valid account with the applicable Third Party Service and you may be required to have a public (i.e. non-private) account. By creating an account with a Third Party Service, you agree to comply with the Third Party Service’s terms and policies. Anyone found entering the Contest using multiple accounts on a single Third Party Service will be ineligible.
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or any other social media platform. The information you provide will only be used in accordance with the Contest Organizer’s privacy policy, specifically, we will only use your personal information as outlined later in these rules and only where you have specifically provided your consent for us to do so. All social media operators used to promote the Contest are completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to the Contest Organizer and not to any social media operator.
The personal information you provide on this form (“Personal Information”) is protected pursuant to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and any equivalent provincial privacy legislation and the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation Privacy Policy which may be reviewed here: https://www.nhl.com/flames/team/privacy-policy. By participating in the Contest, an entrant (i) grants to the Contest Organizer the right to use their Personal Information for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winners; and (ii) acknowledges that the Contest Organizer may disclose their Personal Information to the Prize Supplier, (if applicable), and its authorized agents and third-party agents, and service providers of the Contest Organizer in connection with any of the activities listed above.
