The Roughnecks pulled off the comeback with a 13-12 overtime victory over the Firewolves on Saturday night in Albany.
Dane Dobbie had the last eight goals in a row for the Roughnecks, including an NLL record seven goals in a single quarter (fourth), moving his season total to 13 on the season.
Albany struck first on Saturday night with a low roller to make it 1-0, 90-seconds in.
Mathieu Gautier fired one short-side to even the score 1-1 with his first as a Roughneck.
Albany took the early lead once again on a short-side shot late in the shot-clock to make it 2-1.
They added another shortly after to make it 3-1, 4:30 into the first-quarter.
Curtis Dickson found the back of the net on the powerplay to make it 3-2 Firewolves.
The Firewolves struck with a powerplay goal of their own to double the lead, 4-2.
Albany scored with another late clock shot to make it 5-2 with 2:39 to go in the quarter.
Tanner Cook opened the scoring in the second-quarter with the Riggers second powerplay goal to make it 5-3.

Albany answered quickly after to make the score 6-3.
Dickson drove to the net for his second of the night and seventh of the season to make the score 6-4 heading into the half.
Both teams got into some penalty trouble early in the second-half with the Firewolves eventually going to work on a four-on-three, man advantage, but the Roughnecks were able to kill it off.
It was Albany finding the net first in the second-half making the score 7-4.
Cook found the net on a rebound for his second of the night to get the ‘Necks back within two, 7-5.

Albany would push back again finding the short-side through traffic to make the score 8-5 with 1:46 to go in the third-quarter.
The Firewolves scored nine-seconds into the final frame, short-handed, to make the score 9-5.
Dane Dobbie found the far side on the same powerplay to make the score 9-6.
The Firewolves extended their lead with an open shot from the top of the crease to make it 10-6.
The Roughnecks got their fifth powerplay goal of the night thanks to Dobbie’s second making the score 10-7.
Dobbie ripped his third of the game, and of the quarter, to make it 10-8 with his eighth of the season.
Dobbie again scored right off the draw for his fourth of the night to get the Riggers within one, 10-9.
It continued to be Dane Dobbie’s quarter as he added his fifth of the fourth-quarter to tie the game 10-10.
The Firewolves took the lead back after a no goal call against the Roughnecks, it was 11-10 Albany with 2:39 remaining.
Dobbie did find his sock-trick goal to tie the game back up from a shot up high to make it 11-11.
Albany again took the lead with 1:22 remaining, it was 12-11.
Cam MacLeod found Dobbie off the bench for his seventh of the quarter tying the game once again, 12-12.

The game was off to overtime.
After the Roughnecks made a stop to start overtime Dobbie capped off his eight goal performance streaking across the crease and finishing in the back of the net to give the Roughnecks the 13-12 overtime win to move to 2-0.
