SETTIN’ IT UP

The Riggers return home after two straight wins on the road for a pair at home this weekend.

The Roughnecks will look for their third consecutive victory on Friday night when they host the Saskatchewan Rush at the Scotiabank Saddledome (7:30 p.m., TSN, TSN+, ESPN+). TICKETS.

They welcome the Las Vegas Desert Dogs Sunday at 5 p.m. TICKETS

The Riggers (5-3) registered a 15-12 victory over the Vancouver Warriors last weekend vaulting them into third place in the NLL. Curtis Dickson had seven points (3g, 4a) and Dane Dobbie had six (2g, 4a) to lead the way for the Riggers. Cam MacLeod chipped in 40 saves in the win.

Saskatchewan (6-2) sits in second in the league coming into this one. The Rush picked up a 12-8 victory over San Diego a couple of weeks ago followed by a bye last weekend. Like the Roughnecks, the Rush have two OT victories already this season.

Tanner Cook enters Friday’s matchup three points shy of 300 in his NLL career.

The Riggers made a trade with San Diego for defender Matt Sykes on Wednesday. Sykes played 53 games with the Seals since entering the league in 2020.

This is the first of two meetings between these prairie rivals this season. In two tilts last season, the Roughnecks picked up a 12-10 victory at home on April 5 before the Rush won 12-9 at home the next night.
