Roughnecks sign Loewen to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed veteran forward Riley Loewen to a one-year deal, pending league approval. Loewen (6-foot-2, 200 lbs., 9/26/1989) previously suited up for the ‘Necks from 2017–2019, playing a key role in the team’s 2019 NLL Cup Championship run. The savvy vet played 16 games with the Vancouver Warriors last season and put up 41 points (19G, 22A). The Burnaby, B.C. product is known for his smart, gritty play style and consistent offensive presence, bringing veteran leadership and championship experience back to Calgary’s left side.
Roughnecks sign Moyer to 1-year deal
The Roughnecks have signed forward Carson Moyer to a one-year deal. Moyer (6-foot-1, 185 lbs., 4/23/2001) was selected in the 2nd round (32nd overall) in the 2023 NLL Entry Draft by the Albany FireWolves. Moyer played four games in the 2025 season with Albany posting six points (2G, 4A). The left-handed forward will play out his second NLL season with the Riggers.
Roughecks sign two players to 3-year contracts
The Roughnecks signed forwards Noah Manning and Kyle Pepper to three-year contracts. Manning was selected in the first round (9th overall) and Pepper a few picks later (13th overall) in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft. Manning is an offensive standout, who played WLA senior A summer ball with the Nanaimo Timberman this year and is a graduate of the University of Denver, where he played NCAA field lacrosse. Pepper is a Swiss Army knife who can play both defence and offence and can take faceoffs as needed, suiting up last summer with the WLA’s Victoria Shamrocks after an NCAA career at St. Bonaventure.
