SETTIN’ IT UP
A Rose-y reunion.
The Calgary Roughnecks look for their fifth road win in six games this season when they head to Colorado to battle the Mammoth Saturday at 7 p.m. MST.
The ‘Necks made a big splash this week acquiring reigning Goaltender of the Year Nick Rose, along with defender Tyler Hendrycks and a 2025 fourth-round pick from the Toronto Rock in exchange for goaltender Gowah Abrams, Defender Robert Hudson and a 2026 first-round pick.
The Riggers (6-5) fell 15-10 at home to the Rochester Knighthawks last weekend and currently sit in a tie for fifth in the NLL with the Mammoth entering Week 14.
Colorado (6-5) dropped a 14-7 decision to Las Vegas at home last weekend and have lost two of their last three games.
Rose is 18 saves shy of 7,000 in his NLL career. He will be just the third goaltender in NLL history to hit that mark.
The Riggers are in search of their fifth road win of the season. The team record for road wins in a year is seven, a mark they reached in 2009 and 2012.
This is the first of two meetings between the Riggers and Mammoth this season. Colorado picked up a 13-10 victory over the Roughnecks the last time these two met which was January of last season. Jesse King led the way for the ‘Necks that night with seven assists. These two will meet to end the regular season on April 19 at the Rough House.
