SETTIN’ IT UP

The Riggers finish up their two-game home-stand on Friday night.

The Roughnecks are looking for their second-straight home win when they welcome the Toronto Rock Friday at 7 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome. TICKETS

You can catch the game on TSN during NLL Friday Night.

The Riggers (3-2) ended their two-game slide last time out, beating Georgia 12-11 in overtime last weekend. Curtis Dickson, Jesse King and Brayden Mayea had five points each while Justin Inacio won 88% of his faceoffs.

Toronto (1-5) grabbed their first win of the season over Saskatchewan last weekend by a 11-8 score. After a tough start to the season on the floor and in the injury department, the Rock are starting to get healthy.

Dickson is coming up on some big career milestones with a shot at hitting both on Friday. He is five goals shy of Dan Dawson for sixth all-time in goals and needs six assists for 500 in his NLL career.

Meanwhile, Riggers defender John Lintz enters the game two loose balls away from 500 in his career.

This is the only matchup of the season between the two teams. They went head-to-head twice last year with Toronto winning 9-7 at the Rough House and the Roughnecks returning the favour in Ontario a week later with an 11-10 victory.

Players To Watch

Roughnecks: D Bennett Smith: The second-year defender is having a breakout season so far. He has picked up his first three NLL goals and is on pace to crush all of his major defensive metrics from his rookie season.

Rock: F Tom Schreiber: The Rock veteran has returned to the lineup for the last two games following an early-season injury. He made a huge impact last weekend against the Rush with seven points.
