VS. COLORADO: Tonight the Calgary Roughnecks will host the West Division-leading Colorado Mammoth in the first edition of this year’s Rocky Mountain Rivalry. Calgary enters the contest following a two-game weekend split that saw the Roughnecks lose to the Saskatchewan Rush (19-12 on Feb. 5) before posting a huge 12-11 come-from-behind win over the Georgia Swarm on Feb. 6 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. In the double-header weekend, Curtis Dickson led Calgary’s attack, scoring eight goals and adding five assists. Jeff Shattler (2g, 8a), Tyler Digby (6g, 2a), Wesley Berg (2g, 6a) and Dane Dobbie (4g, 4a) were also top performers for the Roughnecks. Colorado last saw action on Thursday, Feb. 11, when they defeated the Rush 9-7 at Pepsi Center.

DENVER CONNECTIONS: Back in his hometown of Calgary, Roughnecks transition player Bob Snider is preparing to face his former team. Snider spent the past two seasons with the Mammoth (2014-15), winning 473 faceoffs (53.2 per cent) during that span. This year, the faceoff specialist has won 30 of 47 draws in three games. Roughnecks rookie Wesley Berg played collegiate lacrosse at the University of Denver where he led the Pioneers to a National Championship in 2015. After his senior season, Berg suited up for two games with the Major League Lacrosse’s Denver Outlaws. The Outlaws selected the Coquitlam, British Columbia, native in the second round of the 2015 MLL Collegiate Draft. Berg sits fourth in team scoring with six goals and 21 points through six games.

TOP 10: This season, Roughnecks forward Curtis Dickson has averaged a hat-trick a game with 18 goals through six contests. He has also added nine assists for 27 points, placing him a four-way tie for 10th in the NLL scoring race. In 2014, Dickson narrowly missed the 50-goal plateau, scoring a career-high 48 goals in 18 games. Alternate captain Dane Dobbie and former Roughneck Shawn Evans are tied for sixth overall with 30 points each on the season.
