The Riggers are off to a .500 start as we enter Week 10 in the NLL.
It was a tough loss to Toronto last weekend at home but they have a chance to bounce back on Friday night against the Black Bears in Ottawa. There are some strong personal numbers for the Riggers so far this season and Curtis Dickson is approaching some big milestones. Let’s take a look.
499
Curtis Dickson sits at 499 assists in his NLL career, just one shy of the 500 mark. It would be very surprising if he didn’t hit that early in Friday’s game.
552
Dickson is also four goals away from 552. When he hits that mark, he will be the second Roughneck this season to pass Dan Dawson in all time goals and will put Superman in sixth place just behind teammate Dane Dobbie.
1159
Dobbie is sitting at 1,159 points, which is 10th all-time. He is just seven points away from hitting 1,166 which would vault him past Gary Gait for ninth all-time.
195
With his 116 faceoff wins this season, Justin Inacio has already put himself in fourth place all-time with the Roughnecks. He now trails Nolan Heavenor (287) for third.
7 & 14
The Roughnecks powerplay has been on fire to start the season. Curtis Dickson is tied for the league lead with seven powerplay goals, while Jesse King sits all alone in first with 14 powerplay assists. The Riggers have gone 20-for-32 with the man advantage striking at a scorching 62.5%.
