The Roughnecks return to the Scotiabank Saddledome to host the rival Saskatchewan Rush on Friday night and the Las Vegas Desert Dogs on Sunday. TICKETS
They are 5-3 on the season and sit third the NLL.
Let’s take a look at the numbers that have gotten the team to this place so far.
39/9/6
Those are the looseballs, caused turnovers and blocked shots from second-year defender Bennett Smith this season. Smith is top-three in all of those categories on the team and has the most caused turnovers on the Roughnecks. He also has four goals and two assists to lead all Riggers defenders in points.
54
Curtis Dickson is on pace for 54 goals this season. If he hits that mark it would be tied for the second-most goals he has scored in a campaign. Also, his 112-point pace would surpass the 108 he scored in 2017 as his highest single-season mark.
197
Tanner Cook enters this weekend three points shy of 200 in his career. He had his biggest game of the season last weekend in Vancouver, chipping in five points.
.791%
Riggers goalie Cam MacLeod seems to be settling into his starters role over the past couple weeks. The goaltender has a .791 save-percentage in his last two games and has stopped 76 of his last 96 shots, contributing largely to the Riggers last two wins.
222
Justin Inacio has 222 career faceoff wins with the Roughnecks. That puts him in fourth all time with the Riggers and just 65 back of Nolan Heavenor for third. Inacio has won 143 faceoffs this season, second most in the NLL. His 81 loose-ball recoveries are the second most among all faceoff men just behind Jake Withers.
