It’s the final bye-week of the season for the Riggers. They got back into the playoff race last weekend winning an instant classic, beating the Albany FireWolves 10-9 in overtime.
Jesse King cleared 80 points in the win, and Christian Del Bianco added another assist to his total. Tyler Pace could hit a new milestone, as could King next weekend against Saskatchewan. Let’s take a look at all the numbers.
300
Tyler Pace is just six points away from hitting 300 in his NLL career. He had four goals and two assists last weekend against Albany.
450
Riggers captain Jesse King is four points away from 450. He is averaging 5.78 points per game this season so that milestone could be hit next Friday.
152
Zach Currier is second in the NLL with 152 loose balls this season. It’s crazy to think he’s on pace for just his fifth-best loose-ball season since coming into the league (195.4). He also sits fifth in the NLL in caused turnovers (27) and is top 10 in points from full time defensive players (13).
15
The Shane Simpson, Christian Del Bianco combination is once again dominating the league. Simpson has 15 transition goals to go along with seven assists. His goals are the most from the backend in the league and he is third in the league in points in transition. He is three goals away from tying his single-season high of 18 set last year.
16
Del Bianco needs four assists during next weekend’s back-to-back with Saskatchewan to break his single-season high of 19 assists; he currently sits at 16. He is seven away from tying the all-time record (23).
