The Riggers moved to 7-3 for the first time since 2012 on Friday night in Vancouver.

The Roughnecks went into Vancouver and swept the season series defeating the Warriors 14-9, picking up their fourth straight win.

Calgary found themselves short-handed very early in the game due to a check from behind penalty but it would be the visitors opening the scoring.

Jesse King took a big hit but hung onto the ball after receiving a breakout pass from Christian Del Bianco. He beat a defender to the net and went five-hole to make the score 1-0 Roughnecks.

Vancouver would counter on that same powerplay to make the score 1-1.

Tanner Cook stayed hot powering his way to the net and beating Aaron Bold to make the score 2-1.

The Roughnecks extended the lead on a powerplay of their own as Jesse King wired one from the outside to make the score 3-1 after the first quarter.

Zach Currier picked up career point number 100 right off the second-quarter faceoff as he won the draw and finished the play himself to make the score 4-1.

Vancouver answered back on a dunk making the score 4-2.

The Riggers would counter quickly however, as Cook found Josh Currier for the quick stick to make the score 5-2.

Vancouver would get within one quickly after with two quick goals as the game opened up in the second quarter.

The Warriors continued their run tying the game 5-5 with just over eight-minutes to go in the half.

They would take their first lead after a Dan Taylor goal got called back as he entered the crease before the ball crossed the line. It was 6-5 Warriors.

Haiden Dickson ended the Warriors run and evened the score 6-6 with 3:53 to go in the quarter.

The Roughnecks regained the lead heading into the half as King finished off a first-half hat-trick on the powerplay making the score 7-6 heading into the break.

Dickson extended the Roughnecks lead on the powerplay early in the third with a beautiful twister shot. It was 8-6.

The Warriors went to work on a powerplay with just under five-minutes gone in the quarter as they cut the Roughnecks lead to 8-7.

King spun away from a defender and went far side to extend the Roughnecks lead to 9-7 halfway through the third.

Zach Currier scored his second of the night in transition to make the score 10-7.

Vancouver responded with under a minute to go to send the game into the final frame 10-8.

The Warriors took a double-minor penalty early in the final quarter and the Roughnecks would make them pay as Tyler Pace picked up his first goal of the night to make the score 11-8.

Dickson got his hat-trick just as the double minor ended putting the Riggers up 12-8.

Vancouver would find the scoreboard just after making the score 12-9.

Dickson continued to dominate as he picked up his fourth of the night to make the score 13-9.

Josh Currier would dump one into an empty net late in the game to make the final score 14-9.

A loss by the San Diego Seals to Saskatchewan on Friday has moved the Riggers into first place in the Western Conference although they do have one more game played than the Seals.
