Calgary, AB – The Calgary Roughnecks Lacrosse Club today announced its 21-player active roster and practice roster for the 2022-23 National Lacrosse League season.

The active roster includes 17 returning players, two veteran off-season acquisitions, Jeff Cornwall and Brett Hickey and two rookies, forward Seth Van Schepen, the Roughnecks first round pick in the 2022 entry draft and goaltender Adam Bland.

“We had a very competitive camp and after some tough decisions for coaches and management, we are excited to name our roster for the 2022-23 season” said Roughnecks General Manager Mike Board. “We like the make-up of the team, which has size and athleticism and a nice mix of veterans and some young, upcoming players. We will be a team that brings a strong work ethic to every game.”

Defenseman Kellen LeClair (third round, 25th overall, 2015) has been traded to Buffalo Bandits in exchange for a 2023 second round pick.

Forward Dylan McIntosh (second round, 22nd overall, 2017) has been placed on the practice roster to start the season. Defender Justin Inacio has been placed on the physically unable to perform list.

Calgary will open their 2022-23 NLL campaign at home on WestJet Field on Saturday, December 10th against Vancouver, before travelling to meet the Warriors for Game 2 in Vancouver on December 16th.

The Roughhouse will be rockin’ December 10 with doors open at 6:00pm for a 7:30pm face off. Fans who arrive to the ‘Dome early will be treated to Taco’s & Tequila in the TELUS Club, as well as Happy Hour on the concourse featuring $6, 14oz draft beer, 6oz wine and 1oz highballs, as well as pizza, cheeseburgers and hotdogs.
