Week 15 of the National Lacrosse League is drawing near. Do you where your rookie is?
If he’s in Toronto, he may be leading the team in scoring, or be second on the team in loose balls.
If he’s in Rochester, he’s definitely leading the team in scoring but if he’s in Colorado, he’s providing valuable second-level scoring. If he’s in Buffalo, he’s probably doing impressive work on the back end to dig up the corners and if he’s in Saskatchewan, he’s letting the most productive game offensively of his young career soak in.
Up and down the floor, rookies are contributing in solid fashion across the NLL. So before we get to Week 15, let’s take a closer look at what the rooks were up to in Week 14.
Tom Schreiber (Toronto): It was just business as usual for the right-hander out of East Meadow, N.Y., who piled up the points. Even though the Rock lost both games this weekend, Schreiber scored 4 goals in each and also had 3 assists in both games for a 14-point weekend. He added 9 loose balls in Sunday’s road loss to New England and with 3 games left in the regular season, Schreiber has 80 points (28-52) to lead the team scoring race by a comfortable margin.
Kyle Jackson (Rochester): The left-hander out of Sarnia was held to 1 goal on 9 shots and also had 1 assist and 3 loose balls in Saturday’s home loss to Calgary. With 53 points, he’s leading the team in scoring but is being challenged by veteran Joe Resetarits, who is just 2 points behind.

His 24 caused turnovers leads the team and his 91 loose balls is second only to veteran Brodie Merrill (141).
